The Hype is Real

Today history was made in the way of the first ever female fight in the 20-year history of the UFC.

Ronda Rousey, a former Olympic judo bronze medalist, and world judo championships silver medalist forced her opponent Liz Carmouche, to submit using her trademark armbar finish at four minutes and 49 second mark of the very first round.

She has now won all her seven fights, all in the first round, and all using the same finishing technique (armbar)

Ronda Rousey is the real deal and becomes the UFC women's bantamweight champion after fight referee John McCarthy raises her hand in triumph, while UFC president Dana White puts the UFC women's bantamweight belt around her waist .
